How Did Paws & Claws Begin?
Our Maine Coon journey began when a freak accident forced one of our owners to leave her permanent career. Seeking a fulfilling new path, we approached Sharon Sorensen at Kingslee Park Cattery for guidance in starting our own breeding program.
Sharon graciously mentored us and helped us acquire our foundation queens, Zoe and Trixie. Under Kingslee Park’s expert guidance, we learned the art of responsible breeding. A year later, we partnered with Margaret Sharpe at Yendor Maine Coon Cattery for our siring needs.
As owners who prefer to remain anonymous, we’re delighted that our dream has come to fruition through the support of these two exceptional catteries. Our commitment to excellence ensures every kitten receives the love and care they deserve before joining their forever families.
About Our Cats
All kittens come with registered pedigree papers with the Queensland Feline Association.
Kittens are raised in a nursery room, in our home. We have 1 dog, frequent litters of puppies, and 7 other Maine Coon cats.
All babies stay with their mothers until they are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, flea/parasite treated and vet checked. This allows us to nurture our animals; ensuring they develop into healthy, secure, outgoing and affectionate kittens, with very impressive temperaments.
Our cats are ‘inside cats’ – they are treated as part of the family. All of our cats and kittens receive an abundance of hugs, playtime and a great deal of love.
